We (i.e. the associations BC Leiden and BV Drive together) want to be an open association in which every member can play badminton with pleasure. Of course, you are always welcome to contact the board with your comments and ideas, even if these concern (alleged) cross-border behaviour within the association. But you may prefer to talk about your questions, doubts, comments or complaints (first) confidentially with someone outside the board.
As reported in the General Assembly on 16 December 2024, the board has therefore decided to appoint a confidential contact person. A confidential contact person is the first point of contact for anyone who wants to talk about anything to do with cross-border behaviour. Think of (online) bullying, discrimination, violence or (sexual) harassment. The confidential contact person is there for everyone at the club: from athletes to volunteers and spectators. He or she listens to your story, gives advice and refers you if necessary. The confidential contact person handles the information from the conversations with care.
In principle, the conversations are confidential. In some situations, however, anonymity or confidentiality cannot be guaranteed. For example, in the case of serious criminal offences that must be reported or in urgent medical situations. In addition, the confidential contact person assists the board in preventing transgressive behaviour and promoting a socially safe sports environment for everyone.
Would you like to get in touch with the confidential contact person? Then please contact:

My name is Annemarie van Engelen and I have enjoyed playing at BV Drive since 2007. Because I play on many evenings (on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays), I know many players of our club. I think it is important that we are a social club, where everyone feels comfortable and can play pleasantly, regardless of their level. The board asked me last autumn if I would like to be confidential contact person. The board thinks I could do this well because I am calm, not quick to judge and get along with everyone. I have expressed my willingness to take on this role and have now also followed the NOC NSF training. Do you need a listening ear and would you like to talk to me about a form of cross-border behaviour within our club? Then send an e-mail to
